FuturePlus — Beyond ESG measurement

What defines environmental, social, and governance criteria? This data-driven platform and consultancy provides an ESG impact measurement tool, which enables all our hotels to measure and report on internal improvements and  impact. FuturePlus considers around 250 indicators across categories spanning climate action and the environment, diversity and inclusion, our economic chain, and activities of leadership, the workforce, supply chains, carbon footprint, and manufacturing, and taking into account the objective of the UN’s Global Goals.

Sustainable Development Goals — Walking our talk

The United Nations’ set of 17 interconnected global objectives was established in 2015 to address challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental degradation and promote peace and prosperity — all by 2030, a date which looms ever closer. These SDGs or Global Goals represent considerations and priorities in boosting the quality of education, health, gender equality, nature, marine life and cooperation between sectors. Originally developed as a framework to spark collective action from governments, businesses, and individuals to work towards a more sustainable, equitable future for all people and the planet, we don’t want to be one of the businesses simply slapping on their brightly-coloured icons where they look good. These causes and concerns inform our overarching sustainability strategy. It is a reminder that it’s not just nice to care about these many themes; we recognise the need to codify meaningful improvements through cultural and behavioural changes across our businesses.

Energy and Environmental Alliance — A climate positive collective

Lore Group is a member of this global coalition of hospitality and lodging investors, developers, operators, and asset managers, with a collective ambition to achieve faster carbon reduction. The EEA works to transition hospitality businesses to net zero – through scientifically targeted, and commercially sustainable means, such as sourcing all energy through 100% renewable providers.

Prioritising sustainability with a business approach to our operations and a balanced view of commerce; resources and our people, has added value to many areas of our hotels. There are so many opportunities that come with responsible business, whilst also being authentic to our culture, brand and creating transformative places for people to work and stay.
