Sustainability isn’t just actions, it’s attitude — and, for us, it’s an ongoing, transparent, measurable process of thinking responsibly and behaving ethically. We aim for the kind of commitment to positive social and environmental impact that cultivates a deeper connection with community, reduces our impact on natural resources and Co2e emissions and ensures all our efforts are supported by auditable data.

What do we care about and why?

Lore Group is a family of independent hotels, bars and restaurants brought to life by people and place. Our businesses are inspired by their neighbourhoods, their communities, always intended to generate stories — of substance — that last. Storytelling, for us, is also about sharing the how and why, our hotels consider their connection to the bigger climate picture. Sustainability is a journey with no end point; we are always learning, evolving, adapting, and open to new ideas and innovations. We aim to follow-science-based frameworks and report every aspect of our impact — both negative and positive — quantitatively and qualitatively where relevant, always honestly and transparently. We try always to be fair-minded and inclusive and be generous of spirit, treating hotel guests with the warmth and consideration we would treat a guest in our own homes, and invite them to join us on our sustainability journey through our messaging. This is our way of articulating how our actions match our intentions, as we keep thinking of new ways to do better.
